Step two - Install wall and ceiling linings. Install your 6mm wall lining being careful to nail the fibro board every 150mm without nailing into the new pipes and electrical wires. The best way is to measure and mark the pipe and wire layout onto your new wall board with a pencil as you go. Screw up (or nail) the ceiling lining, plasterboard is the most common. However if you are laying your tiles from floor to ceiling do not install the cornice as this is best done after tiling. If you are not tiling to the ceiling go ahead and install the cornice after the wallboard and ceiling lining have been installed. Also if your bath is not freestanding you can now make up the frame and install the bath. Ensure the bath is installed correctly allowing for the thickness of the tiles and glue.Be sure to check all linings and pipes before you continue with your bathroom renovation.

Make sure it's durable! When you are spending money on a new piece of furniture, you want to make sure that this investment will last, so it is important to invest in durable pieces of furniture that will see you through plenty of years to come. Check that the unit cannot be subject to any water damage or, if it has a mirrored front, that it has a de-mister to avoid any unsightly marks. Keep versatility in mind. While your bathroom may look all fresh and new once you have installed your new bathroom cabinet it is important to remember that due to fleeting interior design trends, you may want to redecorate the bathroom again in the future. It doesn't matter whether you have a big home or a small home. Your bathroom is one of the rooms you should invest in as many luxurious fixtures and amenities as you can. Why A Bathroom is Worth Going BigThe bathroom can be a haven, a place where you take long soaks in the tub at the end of tiring days at work. Reason enough why a bathroom remodel is one of the best things you can do for you and your home. On top of that, bathroom remodeling gives you an 80% to 90% return on investment should you ever decide to sell your home. Whether it's a partial upgrade or a complete overhaul, a bathroom remodel is one worthwhile project you should seriously consider investing in. Deciding on the Scope of Your Bathroom Remodeling Project. The minute you start on your bathroom remodeling project, it can result in either one of two things: you'll have that gleaming, tiled paradise of a bathroom you've always wanted to have or you'll end up having a half-assembled mess of old and new bathroom fixtures. To prevent the second scenario, you should decide on the scope of your bathroom remodeling project before you start anything. Based on your budget, the span of time you have, and the size of your bathroom and its current state, you have several options for remodeling your bathroom:

Bath Toys. The trusty rubber duck, loved by all but even your bathroom rubber duck gets dirty. The draw back with such bath toys is that they draw water inside that goes stagnant. This in time builds up and depending on the type of water you have can encourage the growth of mildew. This is really not nice to have in your bathroom so it is time to sort those bath toys out. Use a bucket and a mild water/bleach solution and squeeze the toy until all the flaky black mildew is passed out of the hole. There is also another role for your trusty old toothbrush; this can assist in removing stubborn mildew that has formed around rims of the bath toy.

Plan your bathroom storage furniture carefully. For example, if your bathroom is small you can make the most of the storage area above the floor by installing high bathroom storage units which only take up a small amount of floor space. All types of bathroom wall cabinets are great for small bathrooms because they don't take up any floor space at all and if you're going to have a bathroom medicine cabinet, make sure it's lockable for safety. Mirrors can be used to give an illusion of space in your bathroom and if you have a couple of bathroom wall mirrors fixed in the right places you'll be amazed at the effect they'll have. Once you've made the difficult decisions relating to your bathroom remodeling ideas and have got your new bathroom storage cabinets in place, you can start looking for curtains which will complement them. Neutral plain colors will allow special pieces like an antique vanity unit to shine without having to fight for attention against bright flowery curtains. But if your bathroom storage units are a white contemporary style, then it's a good idea to jazz things up with fancy bathroom curtains.

Option 2. Change the layout of your bathroom. Similar to how you sometimes rearrange the placement of furniture in your living room, kitchen, or bedroom to give it a new feel, you can rearrange the plumbing fixtures in your bathroom. This project is a bit more difficult to take on than a surface-level remodel. Bathroom fixtures such as the sink, shower stall, bathtub, and cabinets are not easily moved, and will require the services of a licensed plumber, a carpenter, and possibly an electrician. However, once the professionals are done, you can save a little money by rearranging things like towel racks and bars, shelves, trash cans, and miscellaneous bath accessories yourself. There will be a bigger change to the overall look of your bathroom once you're finished.
